Just a heads up — today is the last chance to join the Phoenician League at our current membership rates. I'm not certain when we'll open our doors again, or whether we'll be able to keep our rates where they are when we do.

I've spilled a lot of ink this past week on investment strategies built for the economy we actually live in — not the one that existed in 1980 when Retirement Inc. was born. I know first-hand that our approach works.
But as I mentioned yesterday, it's not really about the money and the investments. And that’s because I believe financial independence isn't the destination. It's the vehicle.

Personally, I live on five acres way up in the mountains of Virginia. The surrounding three counties cover a large, rural geographic area — but they're the least populated counties in the state.
Needless to say, there's not much happening up here. Sometimes the most exciting event is seeing whether the rare blackbird with the red and yellow markings shows back up at the bird feeder.
But this suits me.
The serenity and the slow pace of life let me fully pursue my mission — countering Retirement Inc. and helping people build a more secure financial future for themselves and their families. And helping empower the local community wherever I'm able to be of service.
That philosophy is what the Phoenician League was built around from day one. It's why we don't chase hot tips or hype up volatile opportunities. It's why our approach is comprehensive and long-term.
