A Message From Decentralized Masters Dear Reader, On May 3rd, 2025, Warren Buffett looked at his shareholders for the last time and said: "The dollar is going to hell." The man who defended the US dollar for 60 years just told you it's done. Ray Dalio agrees.

The founder of Bridgewater Associates ($150 billion AUM) calls it a "debt death spiral." $38.4 trillion in debt. Adding a trillion every 60 days. A billion every 8 hours. The math doesn't work anymore. If the dollar falls, most people will get hurt badly. But there's a specific asset class and investment system that actually thrives when the dollar collapses. It's called the ABN System. It adapts the principles of Blackrock's investing strategy so everyday investors can apply it to protect themselves. Over 4,500 members have already implemented this system. If you have $50k+ exposed to the dollar right now (including your 401(k), stocks, real estate, savings), you need to pay attention. Could Quantinuum's Breakthrough Make Its Sell-Off a Bargain?Reported by Jeffrey Neal Johnson. Published: 10/20/2026.
Key Points
- Quantinuum's Helios system achieved a 99.9995% logical fidelity rate, cutting errors to five per million operations and outperforming rivals.
- Despite this breakthrough and 279% year-over-year revenue growth, QNT shares trade near 52-week lows amid broader hardware stock pressure.
- Quantinuum holds $2.1 billion in cash plus federal grants, and Morgan Stanley upgraded the stock to Overweight with a $62 price target.
- Special Report: 100% overnight gains?
Quantinuum (NASDAQ: QNT) recently achieved a 99.9995% logical fidelity rate on its Helios commercial system. For investors watching the quantum computing sector, this breakthrough addresses the industry's biggest challenge: uncontrolled error propagation. Despite delivering a sharp accuracy improvement over its closest well-capitalized competitors, Quantinuum recently traded near its 52-week low of approximately $33. This price action reflects broader pressure on expensive-to-build hardware stocks and post-IPO lockup concerns rather than the company's technological progress.
With revenue up approximately 279% year over year and a fortified balance sheet, QNT's 36% drawdown over the last three months creates an intriguing setup. Investors seeking exposure to the quantum market, which is projected to reach $100 billion, may find this valuation disconnect compelling. Helios Breaks Orbit: The 99.9995% Fidelity CatalystThe market frequently misprices deep-tech milestones, and Quantinuum's latest development offers a clear example. The new Helios system architecture limited output to just five errors per one million operations. To put that figure into perspective, this error rate is approximately 10 times lower than Quantinuum's own September benchmark, and it outpaces the superconducting architecture developed by legacy mega-caps such as Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL). Yet, Quantinuum shares have contracted sharply over the past quarter. The market appears focused on the company's long path to profitability, discounting the structural advantage of a validated error-correction moat. By demonstrating that dramatic accuracy gains are achievable through its trapped-ion technology, Quantinuum makes its timeline for Apollo—a fully error-corrected system expected in 2029—more credible. This separates the company from theoretical research projects and grounds the business more firmly in commercial reality. The 30,000-Qubit Advantage: Shrinking the PayloadScaling a quantum computer traditionally requires millions of physical qubits to generate just a few reliable logical qubits. This ratio has historically driven up costs and pushed profitability projections decades into the future. However, recent technical reports show that Quantinuum's error-correction design reduces errors twelvefold each time it scales up. In practical terms, this allows Quantinuum to reach 100 logical qubits using only approximately 30,000 physical qubits. This significantly reduces the hardware requirements of competing approaches. When physical hardware requirements shrink, forward spending projections follow. Reaching fault tolerance with fewer components materially lowers the cost of manufacturing, testing and cooling these advanced systems. For investors, this milestone has clear implications because it could accelerate Quantinuum's timeline to positive EBITDA. As the company moves from Helios to its next system, Sol, around 2027, this lean hardware requirement provides an advantage over pure-play peers such as IonQ (NYSE: IONQ). The ability to generate commercial value with a smaller physical footprint could translate into wider profit margins over time, something institutional investors watch closely. Fueling the Launch: $2.1B in Cash and Federal TailwindsFast-growing hardware companies carry inherent risks of dilution and insolvency, especially when they are pre-profit. A closer look at the balance sheet reveals that Quantinuum is in a relatively strong position. The company holds approximately $2.1 billion in cash reserves, providing substantial runway to execute its hardware-scaling plans without tapping the equity markets under unfavorable conditions or taking on additional debt. Beyond this, the U.S. government is actively helping to derisk the balance sheet. The Department of Commerce recently awarded Quantinuum a $100 million CHIPS Act research and development grant. The federal government also initiated a $300 million minority equity investment program distributed among key quantum players, including Rigetti Computing (NASDAQ: RGTI) and D-Wave Quantum (NYSE: QBTS). These sources of capital complement Quantinuum's commercial traction. The company reported approximately $8 million in second-quarter revenue, representing high triple-digit growth. Although earnings per share missed consensus estimates by 2 cents, the financial foundation remains resilient in the face of near-term macroeconomic headwinds. Why Wall Street Is Repricing Quantinuum's TrajectoryWall Street is beginning to reassess Quantinuum's long-term potential. Morgan Stanley recently upgraded Quantinuum to Overweight and set a $62 price target based on the potential of a $100 billion quantum market by 2040. The consensus price target sits near $94, implying substantial upside from current trading levels. Market mechanics add another layer to the story. Quantinuum has a notable short-interest rating. Following the recent analyst upgrades, QNT gapped up more than 7%, creating immediate pressure on short sellers. Options market data also indicates bullish positioning among major derivatives holders, suggesting institutional investors are beginning to price in the recent catalysts. When a heavily shorted stock hovering near its 52-week low receives a significant technological breakthrough and an analyst upgrade, the setup can create substantial upside volatility. While a full-blown short squeeze is never certain, the immediate buying pressure poses a tangible risk to those betting against Quantinuum. Tracking Quantinuum's Path to Commercial DominanceThe path to commercializing quantum technology remains highly speculative, and scaling these systems from laboratory environments to data centers carries significant execution risk. Supply chain bottlenecks, shifting regulatory frameworks and rapid advances from competitors could alter the current trajectory. That said, the transition from the Helios system today to the universal Apollo system expected in 2029 offers investors clear, trackable milestones. By showing that fault-tolerant computing may be achievable with a fraction of the previously assumed hardware, Quantinuum is transitioning from speculative technology toward actionable manufacturing. Investors looking to build exposure to next-generation computing infrastructure might consider adding Quantinuum to their watchlists. As the broader market digests the financial implications of lower hardware requirements and sustained federal backing, investors with a higher risk tolerance may find the current entry point attractive ahead of the 2027 Sol architecture rollout.
