A Message From Chaikin Analytics Dear Reader, Sixty-year Wall Street legend Marc Chaikin just issued an urgent buy alert ahead of October 20th... And we encourage you to move your money immediately. Marc invented one of Wall Street's favorite stock indicators – found in every Bloomberg and Reuters terminal in the world... His former clients have included billionaire hedge fund managers like Paul Tudor Jones, George Soros, and Steve Cohen. Today, he's best known for developing a proprietary stock-rating system called the Power Gauge... A system that has flashed bullish on at least seven of the top 10 best-performing stocks of the year... every single year... going back to 2016. This includes all TEN of the best-performing stocks of 2022 during a brutal bear market... And it turned bullish on every single stock in the Magnificent Seven before they soared dramatically. But today, Marc's Power Gauge is lighting up bullish on THIS under-the-radar stock. Its profit potential could explode exponentially as it leads the buildout of next-generation AI data centers. The game-changing technology uses 99% less electricity and 99% less space than current data centers... Yet it's more than 1 trillion times more powerful when it comes to generating major scientific breakthroughs. This new infrastructure is a direct result of Executive Order #14363 issued by the Trump administration. And Marc believes it could create a $248 trillion disruption across the current AI industry. He recently sat down for an interview to reveal everything you need to know. Including the name and ticker of his No. 1 stock to buy now, 100% free. Click here to watch immediately. Sincerely, Vic Lederman

Intel Bets on Cheaper AI as Foundry Losses MountBy Jeffrey Neal Johnson. First Published: 10/14/2026.
Key Points
- Intel unveiled its Crescent Island GPU D-Series, an air-cooled, inference-focused chip designed to let enterprises deploy AI without costly infrastructure overhauls.
- The company's foundry division posted a nearly $2.1 billion operating loss despite 31% revenue growth, highlighting heavy reliance on new hardware to offset margin pressure.
- CEO Lip-Bu Tan bought about 105,000 shares near $95 as short interest reached roughly 158 million shares ahead of Intel's Oct. 29 earnings report.
- Special Report: Who wins the midterms? Here's what really matters
The artificial intelligence (AI) hardware cycle initially rewarded designers that could deliver raw training compute at nearly any price. Hyperscalers absorbed heavy infrastructure costs to build foundational models, leaving smaller data centers struggling to participate. As the industry pivots from training models to running daily inference workloads, AI economics are shifting rapidly. Power constraints, specialized liquid-cooling requirements and ballooning capital expenditures are forcing a reevaluation of how data centers physically scale.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) recently addressed this gap at the Open Compute Project Global Summit. The technology manufacturer revealed the technical specifications for its GPU D-Series, code-named Crescent Island. This new hardware targets cost-conscious enterprise buyers looking to deploy artificial intelligence without rebuilding their physical infrastructure from scratch. By emphasizing memory capacity and power efficiency over raw training speed, Intel is pursuing a potentially attractive niche. The hardware launch introduces an interesting shift in market fundamentals as a highly anticipated corporate restructuring takes shape. Charting a Course for Budget-Friendly AITop-tier accelerators require extensive liquid-cooling systems and consume significant amounts of power, creating a high barrier to entry. Many enterprise facilities lack the specialized plumbing and grid capacity to support these environments. The GPU D-Series is designed to bypass these physical limitations. Built on the Xe3P architecture, Crescent Island allocates its silicon entirely to inference. Operating within a 350-watt power envelope, the card uses a standard air-cooled PCIe form factor, allowing operators to install the hardware directly in existing server racks. The specifications are highly targeted toward total cost of ownership. Featuring up to 480 GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1.5 TB/s of memory bandwidth, the hardware is optimized for sustained, memory-intensive workloads such as large language models and concurrent inference services. By prioritizing standard air-cooled deployment and high memory capacity, Intel provides a practical path for enterprises to scale operations without taking on significant infrastructure debt. This approach contrasts with the high-cost hardware offered by competitors like Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) and NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA), providing a more pragmatic solution for localized enterprise data centers. Weathering the Capital Crunch StormMacroeconomic headwinds are amplifying the need for cost-effective hardware. Industry executives, including Intel's CEO, recently highlighted a looming capital crunch, warning that uncertain returns on infrastructure investments could become the sector's most significant headwind. The initial rush to buy the fastest, most expensive training chips is giving way to a more pragmatic focus on margins and operational efficiency. Intel is pairing its physical hardware with an open software strategy to lower switching costs. The technology manufacturer is emphasizing upstream integration with standard frameworks, including day-zero support for emerging models such as Meta's (NASDAQ: META) Muse Glimmer. This interoperability allows developers to connect foundational Xeon CPUs with the new D-Series GPUs seamlessly. For cost-conscious buyers, this open ecosystem reduces the friction of adopting new hardware. Enterprises can reuse existing applications and scale inference efficiently while maintaining control over how their facilities evolve. This positions Crescent Island as a viable, budget-friendly alternative for agentic workflows that do not require the premium pricing of top-tier hardware. By focusing on interoperability, Intel removes the walled-garden constraints that typically force buyers to commit to a single vendor ecosystem for all their computing needs. Plugging the Leaks in Foundry OperationsWhile the D-Series launch offers a strategic path forward, the underlying fundamentals reveal the steep cost of the current transition. Intel's business is burdened by its capital-intensive foundry overhaul. Recent data shows foundry revenue growing about 31%, yet the division still posted an operating loss of nearly $2.1 billion. This divergence between top-line momentum and margin compression is an important factor for investors to weigh. Intel is operating with a trailing net margin near -19%. To fund aggressive research and development and fabrication-facility upgrades, management suspended the dividend entirely. This capital rotation underscores how heavily Intel is relying on the success of enterprise hardware such as Crescent Island. The D-Series needs to secure a meaningful share of the market to generate the high-margin cash flow needed to subsidize the foundry pivot. The upcoming Q3 earnings report, scheduled for Oct. 29, will serve as a primary catalyst, offering the market an initial glimpse into how enterprise demand is shaping near-term revenue estimates. Investors should look for signs that early interest in the D-Series is beginning to offset the heavy capital requirements associated with the manufacturing transition. A Contrarian Voyage Into Intel's FutureIntel's current valuation profile presents a complex scenario. The company trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio near 98, indicating that the market has already priced in much of the turnaround. Trading near the psychologically significant support level of $100, Intel has pulled back roughly 20% from its September highs. Despite the premium multiple, internal conviction appears robust. CEO Lip-Bu Tan recently executed an open-market purchase, acquiring approximately 105,000 shares at an average cost near $95. Heavy insider accumulation at this level signals confidence and could establish a potential price floor. At the same time, short interest has climbed to approximately 158 million shares. This elevated short positioning increases sensitivity to upside surprises. If the hardware secures faster-than-expected enterprise adoption or the upcoming earnings report demonstrates material progress on margin recovery, heavy short interest could provide the necessary fuel for multiple expansion. Investors monitoring the semiconductor space may view the current setup as an intriguing contrarian opportunity, provided execution matches the hardware specifications.
